Harry passed away peacefully at the age of 93. He grew-up in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul. A 1948 graduate of Saint Agnes High School, Harry was a gifted athlete and three-sport letterman in football, basketball and baseball. During the Korean Conflict, Harry served his country in the army stationed in Alaska. His 31-year career with the United States Postal Service, brought him great personal fulfillment and a lasting camaraderie with fellow co-workers. His good “people skills” allowed him to have success selling real estate on the side. Harry’s love for sports was a common thread he shared with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He followed all their athletic and life achievements with great interest and enthusiasm. Harry loved traveling, spending leisure time in Florida and fishing at his cabin.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Sr. and Caroline; daughter, Deborah Emerson; daughter-in-law, Pamela Bealke; son-in-law, Steve Hingos; brother-in-law, Tom Glasow; sister-in-law, Leona Bealke; and nephews, Tom Bealke and Jeff Glasow. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Audrey; children, Dave (Carol), Kathy Hingos, Michael, Gary; son-in-law, Jeff Emerson; grandchildren, Lindsay (Curt), Scott (Jennifer), Joe, Jenna, Michael Jr., Jeanette, Nicholas; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Glasow, Jim; and many other close family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 14th 2023 at PRESENTATION OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH (1725 Kennard Street, Maplewood) with visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow service. Burial to be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials preferred to charity of choice.
