Helen Ingels Goldberg passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at her residence at Oak Park Senior Living. Helen was born on April 14, 1929, in Clear Lake, WI. Raised as an only child on her family's dairy farm, she graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1947. Helen continued her education at UW-River Falls, earning a teaching degree and later obtaining a master's degree in literature from the University of Minnesota.
In 1990, Helen retired from the Stillwater School District, where she taught English 10 and Journalism for 31 years. Prior to Stillwater, she taught at River Falls, Winona, and Colfax.
Due to her love for adventure, Helen spent the majority of her summers traveling overseas, visiting over 27 countries, primarily in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. When at home in Minnesota, she continued her appreciation for culture and the arts by frequently attending plays and local excursions, as well as regularly taking classes at the YMCA. Helen, a member of Oak Ridge Community Church since moving to Stillwater, loved her church family and faithfully served in the choir, on several committees, and in women's ministry. She also cherished spending time with her family and attending various activities for her grandchildren, and eventually, her great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her son, Mark (Sandy) Goldberg; three grandchildren, Kristy (Bill) Kuhn, Justin (Joelle) Goldberg, and Daniel (Annie) Goldberg; and nine great-grandchildren, Elijah, Anna, Ethan, William, Jonah, Eliana, Matea, Greta, and Abigail. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Errett and E. Frances Ingels.
A service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake, WI.
