Polsfuss, Howard F.

Age 96, of Minneapolis passed away June 13, 2023 in his home. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Erla, son Glen, granddaughter Kari Anna and brother Lyle. Survived by children Daniel and Cathryn, grandchildren Henry, David, Jacob and Lisa, great-grandchildren Ashlynn and Alice. Howard was an active member of Christ Church Lutheran from baptism on. At age 12 Howard got a job as a golf caddy. Around that time he met Erla in church choir. He would visit her after work at A & W where she poured root beer. He sang in that choir for over 70 years. He was Homecoming King at Roosevelt High School class of 1945. He served as Pharmacy Mate, U. S. Navy during WWII. After graduating from U of M, he was employed by Warner Manufacturing, becoming VP of Sales and Marketing. He was there for 38 years. For work he traveled Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia, many times with Erla by his side. He and Erla were active members of Nokomis Square where he served on several committees and made many close friends. They were active in community service programs including Meals on Wheels and local food shelves. Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorial service is on June 29, 2:00 at Christ Church Lutheran, 3244 34th Avenue  South, Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to your local food shelf or favorite charity.
