Mound

J. Jai Jarmarius Hunt, known to many simply as Jay, was born to Teresa Jones and Gene Marius Hunt on Thursday, August 24, 1989 in Albion, Michigan. He is the first born child to blended families alongside five siblings.

Growing up, Jay favored shows like Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, WWE, and many Anime’s. He was a habitual gamer playing his PlayStation or Xbox for hours, when not in front of a screen, he could be found at local arcades or playing with trading cards. He stayed active through basketball, football, and wrestling during his school years. He attended Henry Sibley High School from 2003 to 2007 and went on to earn his GED. Later in life, he established himself in Mound, Minnesota where he lived with his longtime partner Emily, and their two children. He spent most of his days working at Safety Rail to provide for his family. He collected knives and swords, enjoyed trying the spiciest foods, and played video games like Marvel Rivals and Mortal Kombat. Jay is survived by his son Elijah Amarius and daughter Kitanah Claire, his mother Teresa and father Gene (Debra), his brother Ryan (Amanda) and Mark, and sisters Maya (Nathan), Makhai, and Jade (Michael), his nephew Keion and nieces Keyara and Kynlee, as well as many relatives and friends. Jay was welcomed to Heaven by the arms of God, while preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carl and Shirley Hunt, uncles Todd and Kerry Archer, Christopher Hunt, and aunt Catherine Hunt, as well as numerous relatives and friends that he’s lost along the way. While his life spanned just 36 years on earth, he has left us all a lifetime of memories and a loving soul to miss

Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to The Hunt Family to support his children Elijah and Kitanah's future.
