Jack S. Rainey, Sr.
Age 94, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 4, 2017. Preceded in death by his loving, devoted, soulmate of 64 years, our mother Donna. He will be sadly missed by children, Jan, Jack Jr., Jill, and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Raechelle "Butter" (Quadree), Jessica and Jalisa; great-grandchildren, Avianah, Quadree, Isiah and Zyah; other family and friends.

Jack was a World War II veteran, serving in Italy with the segregated unit call the "Buffalo Soldiers"; the unit was part of the 598 Field Artillery Battalion attached to the 92 Infantry Division of the US Army.

He worked for the airlines for 47 years, 42 of the years with Northwest Orient Airlines which is now Delta Airlines.

A celebration of Jack's life will be Thursday, April 20, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW, 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 5:00-8:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service.
