She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 5 step great great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Jackie grew up in Ashland, Wisconsin where she attended Wilmarth Grade School and graduated from Ashland High School in June 1949. A classmate remembers her as the "life of the party"; therefore, it is not a surprise that she maintained connections with her classmates all the way through to her 75th class reunion. On September 3, 1949 she married James M. Nemec in Two Harbors, MN. They continued to live in Ashland until 1962 when the family moved to Wausau, WI. She was a stay at home mom until moving to Wausau at which time she went to work as a furniture sales clerk at Winkelman's Dept. Store (later taken over by Johnson Hills). Jackie was always a hard worker and held many sales jobs throughout her life, including working for Ethan Allan. She specialized in selling furniture, flooring, draperies, fabric, and other miscellaneous household items.

Jackie always made time for her hobbies. She joyfully volunteered. Even as a young mother she served as a den mother for all three of her sons' troops in Cub Scouts. She also volunteered, along with her husband, with the Ashland Little League start up. She happily attended sporting events for children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, sewed, read, and played solitaire. Jackie would jump at any opportunity to attend a sporting event and cheer from the stands or volunteer to help in the concession stand. She was passionate about sewing, and her relatives have all reaped the benefits of her labor of love. Her family currently has many place mats, table runners, and wall hangings that provide a physical reminder of Jackie's love. She enjoyed reading Amish stories and loved to immerse herself in elaborate communities created through multi-book series. She played solitaire for many years the old fashioned way - with cards, but over the last six years she learned to play on her cell phone and she loved every minute of it. When asked, three words that she used to sum up her life were Blessed, Serene, and Fulfilled.

A service to celebrate Jackie's life will be in the Saint Francis Shrine Chapel at Saint Agnes Cemetery in Ashland, WI on Saturday, August 22nd, at 12:00 noon, with inurnment to follow at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jackie's name to Hammond Health Services, 425 Davis St., Hammond, WI 54015. Jackie spent the last two years of her life in this facility and truly became part of the family there. The care and attention she was given was beyond compare. She felt truly loved.
