James (Jim) Griebler, 87, of Saint Paul, MN, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025.
Jim was born on February 1, 1938, in Saint Paul, MN to Leo Griebler and Gladys Bradshaw. He grew up in Saint Paul where he attended Saint Casimir grade school and Johnson High School. After high school, he joined the US Air Force. He served proudly for eight years as a jet mechanic.
In 1963, Jim married Theresa Caruso, and together they raised a family in Little Canada where they lived for over 40 years and were married for 62 years. He was a proud father to Mary Jane, John and Tom. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Drew, Jimmy, Austin, Abbey, Ally, and Anthony. He was also a great-grandfather to Charlotte, Everly, Addison, Lennon, Aiden, Audrey, Clover and Mikko, due in March. When ever asked about his greatest accomplishment or what he was most proud of he always said, "My Family".
"Mr. Griebs" will be remembered for his impish smile, his love of all Minnesota Sports, his Canadian Days button collection, and his kind and gentle nature.
He is survived by wife, Theresa; daughter, Mary Jane Horner (Jim); sons, John (Debbie), Tom (Anne); 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, father Leo; mother, Gladys; sister, Tyra; and brother Leo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 3pm - 7pm at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN. A Mass of Christina Burial will take place Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 380 Little Canada Rd. E, Little Canada, MN. A visitation one hour prior. Minnesota sports team jerseys are acceptable and encouraged attire for either gathering. The family requests donations be made to the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, which supports youth development through baseball and softball.
Jim will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Jim's legacy of kindness and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.
