James was born on May 11, 1948 and grew up in St. Paul, MN. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He married Elizabeth (Prokop) in 1971. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Gertrude and sisters, Bernadine and Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 47 years; daughter, Gale; son, Christopher (Beth, Kayla and Alyssa); brothers, Larry (Joanne) and William (Lynn) Sirvas; sister, Marlene (Ken) Bishop; sister-in-law, Jackie Roy and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 11:00AM at CHURCH OF ST. BERNARD, 187 W. Geranium Ave. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass.
