James Terrance Peloquin

Age 88, of Stillwater, passed away November 10, 2025.

James “Jim” is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Gund); and his children, Terri Buttleman (Mike), Sherri McCoy (Pat), Tim Peloquin (Catherine). 

He was born in Minneapolis, MN and later moved to the Hugo, MN area. After his schooling, he joined the Navy. Upon completion of his service, he met and fell in love with Darlene Gund. They were married on May 21, 1960. Soon after that, Jim went to trade school to become a pipefitter and joined Local 455. 

Jim was active in his community and was especially proud of his role as Chief of the Mahtomedi Volunteer Fire Department where he dedicated many years of service. He retired when he and Darlene moved to their dream home on Big Carnelian Lake. Jim and Darlene loved to travel. They also spent many hours attending a variety of their grandchildren’s sporting events cheering them on in Stillwater, Le Sueur and Mendota Heights. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane. 

He will be missed by his 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
