James Hallan Tammes

Age 81, of Marine on St. Croix, passed away suddenly on August 30, 2026.

He will be sadly missed by wife, Carol; son, Will (Ingrid); sisters, Diane Nye (Pat), Sharon Nelson; sister-in-law, Amy Green-Gauer (Paul); niece, Lisa Nye (Nelson); nephews, Ryan Nelson, Seth Ramin (Tina), Jared Ramin (Amber) and Chase Ramin; other family and friends.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, 1:30 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church, Marine on St. Croix with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church, Marine or Wild Rivers Conservancy
