In Loving Memory of Janet Eileen (Tallman) Peterson 75

Born in St. Paul, MN December 18, 1949

We are sad to announce that Janet (Jenny) passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2025, at home in the loving arms of her partner Michael Wiley of 30+ years.

Janet retired from Northern Star Company after 40 years as an inspector processing potatoes. She deeply loved the Lord & prayed every morning for loved ones. Her passions were reading the Bible, she was an avid book worm, loved traveling, boat cruises, Como Conservatory & Zoo, and reminiscing fond memories.

Janet was preceded in death by parents, Leo & Alvina Tallman; husbands, James Reinhart & Maynard Peterson; sisters, Darlene (Joey) Legan, Shirley (LeRoy) Chermak & Janice; brothers, Derald (Carol); and Lemars Wiley.

Survived by her long-time partner and fiance, Michael Wiley; sisters, Karen Tiessen, Linda (Russell) Crabtree, brothers, Darwin/Buckwheat (Sandy), Merlyn/Tony (Anne), Steven (Dawn); daughter Melisa Mitchell; grandchildren, Sahara, Nefretiri; great grandchild, Jaliyah; several nieces and nephews & hundreds of cousins.

Those who knew Janet will remember her immense strength, unwavering faith, fierce advocacy, witty sense of humor, love of flowers her favorite were pink carnations, smiling dimples and dedication to her family. Janet touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.

Celebration of Life September 13, 2025, visitation 11:00am-1:00pm. Memorial Service 1:00pm Bradshaw Funeral Services, 1078 Rice St, St. Paul, MN 55117.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred by family.
