Jean Fernholz

Jean M. Fernholz, 59, of Maplewood, MN, formerly of Arcadia, WI passed away on April 11, 2016, after her incredibly brave and spirit filled battle with breast cancer.

Jean, or Grandma Jean as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, was born February 26, 1957 in Arcadia, WI, to Mark and Margaret Fernholz. Jean was raised in Wisconsin graduating from Arcadia High School, and continued on to complete her bachelors degree from the University of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was raised alongside 3 siblings, Nancy, Daniel and David. She was a hard worker and dedicated 24 years of her life to her accounting position at Land Title in Roseville, MN.

It was in 2003 when she met her husband Andrew Friendt and they were married on October 27th, 2013 in Stillwater, surrounded by a intimate group of friends and family. Through her husband Andrew, Jean quickly fell in love with taking long motorcycle rides through the countryside and begrudgingly became an avid fan of going to the races. She was wicked smart at trivial pursuit and often joked that before Andy, she was a voracious reader. In addition, she was an adventurer, a great listener, a belly laugher, a costume wearer, an amazing cook, and a superb conversationalist. Above all, Jean was an immensely proud grandmother and was her happiest giving to others.

Left to cherish Jean's memory, are her husband Andrew, step daughter Somer, step son Jason, grandchildren Cash and Saylor, sister Nancy (LaVerne), brother David (Dorothy), many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Mark and Margaret, and her brother Daniel.

Please join us in her celebration of life service to be held May 7, 2016 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater MN, 55082. Visitation to begin at 10am with service to follow at 11am.
