Jean Frances Zahler

Jean Zahler, 81, of Stillwater, Minnesota passed away April 17, 2026.

Jean was born in Stillwater, Minnesota, to Louis and Helen (Ciesman) Garavalia. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1962.

In 1965, she married Robert Zahler. They later divorced but remained close friends.

Jean loved crafts, dancing, horses and dogs, fishing, travel and adventures with her sisters.

Jean is survived by her children, Becky Berwald, Jodi (Bob) Schommer, Holly (Chris) Bauer and Bob (Kari) Layland, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and sister, Betsy Kaeck.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Louie, brother Louie Jr. and sisters Joyce and Sharon.

Jean was known for her dedication to family, kindness, positive attitude and love for life. Jean always lit up the room and brought joy to those around her.
