A Beloved Life Remembered

Memorial Verse:

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. - 2 Timothy 4:7

With gratitude for a life well lived, we remember...

Jeff Hedlof

Jeff's life was centered on family and service to others. He enjoyed spending time with friends and loved ones; sharing meals, telling stories, boating and watching hockey. He was generous, kind, and caring and walked by faith in knowing a loving God.

Jeff graduated from Stillwater High School in 1980 and he played high school hockey and baseball, two of his favorite sports. He attended the University of Minnesota - Crookston and played hockey on their team for two years. To pursue his passion for flying, he left college after being accepted into the US Army Officer Candidate School.

He served his country in the US Army as a helicopter pilot and spent five years in Schweinfurt, Germany. After his service, he returned to Germany to play hockey on the ERV Schweinfurt team at a semi-pro level. He excelled as a player and was a fan favorite.

After leaving the Army, he was hired by Air Methods. He found a rewarding career flying medical helicopters for 40 years.

Jeff was born in Minnesota, February 9, 1962, to parents, Mike and Ruth Hedlof. He is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth (Dryden).
