Jeffery Allan Halverson, 72, was a lifelong resident of South Minneapolis and a 1972 graduate of
Richfield High School. Jeff was a kind, caring and compassionate person who spent many years working
in the health care industry both as a trained professional and a volunteer. In his early career, he used his
Bioelectronics Technology training, working at Hennepin County Medical Center for almost 15 years.
Later, he studied and used new skills in a more hands-on approach to health care as a Healing Touch
Practitioner, Reiki Master, and Esoteric Healing Practitioner, volunteering weekly at Woodwinds Hospital.
Another calling for Jeff was helping others. He volunteered with We Can Ride, a group offering horseback
riding to people with disabilities and helping out at the Special Olympics, while also working as a Care
Attendant at Fraser home for men, where he made many longtime friendships.
Jeff enjoyed traveling with his life partner, Nancy Bartlett, to Hawaii, Jamaica and the Dominican
Republic; trying out new adventures like balloon rides, glider rides and sky diving; but his favorite week of
the year was spent fishing in Northern Minnesota.
Jeff is survived by his partner, Nancy Bartlett, sister Patricia Anna Perry and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father James Halverson; mother Sara Halverson; brothers Richard
Halverson and Thomas Halverson; and sister Sandra Peterson.
