It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey James Mitsch, who left us on October 24, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Jeff lived a life full of friendship and purpose. Early in his career he worked throughout Saint Paul as a professional metal worker. Together with his Uncle, Jeff built a successful retail hardware business, Mitsch Total Hardware on Snelling Avenue. Jeff finished his career working alongside his brother, nephews and friends at GaMra Composites in Hudson, Wisconsin. Jeff retired in August of 2024 spending wonderful days at the family cabin on Eagle Lake with his dogs.
Jeff will always be remembered for the countless hours he spent on the water, fishing and scuba diving with friends and family. He was known for his quick wit, kind spirit, infectious laughter, and generous heart. A hard worker, Jeff was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. One of Jeff's closest friends said "everyone who met him, liked him", this was evident by all the people who were willing to drive over three hours to Crosby to see Jeff when he was in the hospital.
Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Jean Mitch; younger brother, Sean Callahan-Mitsch. He is survived by his father, Ron Mitsch; his brother Gregory (Michelle), his beloved sister RaeAnne Johnson (Leo), and countless nieces and nephews. The love and bond they shared with Jeff will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Jeff's life will take place on November 20, 2025, at 11:30 AM, at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. A luncheon will follow the service. Jeff will be laid to rest in a private burial.
Jeff will be missed dearly but will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
