Joanne Carlson

Joanne Shirley Carlson, age 80, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, with her daughter, Tammy, by her side. Joanne was born and raised in Minneapolis, where she lived her entire life.

Joanne was known for her strength, her warmth, and the way she cared fiercely for the people she loved. She treasured her family deeply, spoke the truth with honesty and love, and had a gift for making others feel welcome and safe in her presence. She loved spending time with family, sharing laughter and memories in her South Minneapolis home.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and George; her brothers, Jerry and Kenny; and her husband, Marvin Albert Carlson, who passed away in 1983.

She is survived by her children, Tammy and Christopher; grandchildren, Christine, Katie, and DJ; and great-grandchild, Theron, along with extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

A service honoring Joanne's life will be held on January 8 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Minneapolis. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Service will begin at 11:00am with a luncheon and interment to follow.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
