Joanne “Jody” Hornburg

nee Bauman, Age 91 of Scandia, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023 after a brief illness.

She is survived by her children, Gay (Dennis) Dehning, Guy Hornburg, Gyl (Bob) Anello, Gina Schaar, Greg (Aimee) Hornburg; grandchildren, Christopher (Patti), Angela (Ryan), Kristi (Ande), Sarah, Lydia (Eric), Emilee, Zach; great-grandchildren, Parker, Lucia, Bennett, Emma, Madelyn, Brooklyn; sisters, Beverly Berger.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Carl “Bud,” parents, Fred and Rachel.

Jody was an active quilter at Elim Lutheran Church in Scandia, and was famous for sending cards to loved ones to commemorate all occasions. Her interest in genealogy was always revealing new information and connections.

Memorial Service Monday, March 13, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at ELIM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20971 Olinda Trail North, Scandia with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M.  A luncheon will follow the service. Bud and Jody will be interred together at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
