John Kenneth Bier, Age 72 of Hugo, MN passed away on Friday May 8, 2026, after a long 6-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, John, and Fran. He is survived by his wife, Robin; children, John (Melissa), Keith, Jessica (Ryan) Halbur; grandchildren, Abby, Hannah, Hailey, Ava, John, Joe, Brooklyn, Jacob, Rylie, Auston, Katie; siblings, Bob and Barb; nephew, Paul; and many other beloved family and friends.
John was born to John and Fran Bier on March 8,1954 in St. Paul, MN. John grew up on the East side of Saint Paul and graduated from Harding High school in 1972. That is where he met his wife of 52 years, Robin (Nordahl). John and Robin were married in June of 1974 and quickly started a family. They raised 3 children John, Keith and Jessica.
After high school, John went on to college and then started his career as a draftsman, before making a few moves and finally settling into a career in the medical regulatory compliance field. He spent many years working for St. Jude Medical, T.U.V, and then finally ending his career as the director of regulatory affairs with NSAI.
John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to Hunt and fish, especially with family and friends. Some of his favorites were deer hunting and gardening with the grand kids, spring turkey hunting in Nebraska, bow hunting Mule deer in North Dakota, Duck hunting near Wilmer MN, and opening of fishing up north, just to name a few.
A service celebrating John's life will be held at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake, on Tuesday May 19th at 6:00 PM, with a visitation an hour prior.
