John Horwath

John G. Horwath, age 88, of Stillwater, Minnesota, formerly of South St. Paul, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 at his home in Stillwater.

Preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Caroline Horwath Lind; parents, John and Julianna Horwath; and sister-in-law, Judy Horwath.

Survived by children, Brian (Lori), Craig (Pam), Jill (Curt Eberfeld) Horwath, and Dana (Charles) Geary; siblings, Clarence, Rosemary, and Richard (Deb) Horwath; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.


A funeral Mass for John will be held on Tuesday, July 8 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church (187 Geranium Ave W) with visitation an hour prior. A luncheon will follow at the Bayport America Legion (263 3rd St N, Bayport) at 1:00 PM.

John and Caroline will be interred together on Thursday, July 17 at 11:00 AM at Fort Snelling National cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Bayport American Legion.
