John Rudquist

John Emrick Rudquist, age 84
John passed away January 26, 2017 after a bout with cancer. He is preceded in death by wife, Barbara and daughter, Erica.
John was born in Fargo, ND but lived most of his life in the Prospect Park, Powderhorn Park, and Seward neighborhoods on the south side of Minneapolis. He is a graduate of Central High School and Dunwoody College. He served in the Army, and then returned to school earning a B. S. degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a M. S. in Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. John applied his talents successfully with two, private architectural firms in Minneapolis before joining 3M where he worked for over 26 years until his retirement.
John was a wonderful husband, father, and architect and will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and neighbors. He is survived by his children Analisa Shipquist, Aaron Rudquist, and Peter-Jon Rudquist, and their spouses and children. No public service is planned.
