Jon Larson

Age 77, of Woodbury, formerly of Stillwater, passed away peacefully April 19, 2026.

Preceded in death by parents, Melvin and Esther; brothers, Melvin and Bill.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marsha; sons, Adam (Jenn) and Trevor (Greta); grandchildren, Lucy, Liam, Adeline and Hugh; sister, Merriell (Keith) Frantsen; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Jon was born on June 17th, 1948 and raised in Windom, Minnesota. Service was a foundational part of his character. He enlisted in the US Army in January of 1968 and served our country in Vietnam where he earned a purple heart.

When Jon returned home, he met the love of his life, Marsha and they married on July, 28 1973. Together they enjoyed raising their two boys Adam and Trevor, serving at church and taking road trips around the United States.

Jon’s post Army career began in Cottonwood County (MN), where he served his community as a Veterans service officer. In 1988, he accepted the same role in Stillwater, Minnesota. Jon supported Veterans daily with dedication and compassion.

Faith was the foundation of Jon’s life and guided how he led his family and showed up for his community. He was deeply involved in his church and was always ready to serve whenever he could. He rarely missed a chance to support his boys, following them through every sporting and life event from childhood to college and beyond. He continued his loving support for each grandchild by attending school activities and sporting events.

Jon had a genuine love for people, a great sense of humor and a remarkable ability to put others first. Jon had a gift for making everyone feel valued and important. He made our family laugh daily! Today, we are comforted by knowing Jon has heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

A celebration of Jon’s life will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11am, one hour prior to the 12:00pm service. The service will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
