Age 87 of White Bear Lake, MN passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026.

Joyce is preceded in death by Mother Eugenia Lathrop and Father Melvin Lathrop.

She is survived by and sadly missed by her husband of over 70 years, Harvey; children Danny(Debbie),Cynthia (Mark) Banta, Linda (Paul) Flicek and Ronny; grandchildren Jesse(Sandy); Paul(Tracy),Kayla (Joe),Jake,Josh,Jenny,Claire, Daniel,Charlize,Anessa. Great Grandchildren Audrey,Eleanor, Ashton,Kennedy, Diana,Lisia and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Joyce was born and raised in Mendota Heights, where she proudly graduated from Sibley High School. It was during those formative years that Joyce fell in love with Harvey, and their remarkable journey together began. Joyce and Harvey celebrated 70 years of marriage.

Joyce supported her husband in their landscaping industry for many years constantly answering the calls and calling Harvey on the 2-way Motorola Radio.

She devoted her heart and soul to raising her family. When the kids were in high school, she sang in the singing Mums, a local singing group spreading joy throughout White bear Lake.

Joyce was a warm and welcoming woman who always had a kind word and a comforting hug for those around her. She loved being a mother and spoiled her grandchildren any chance she got. She loved garage sales and shopping for everyone else. She loves spending time with her grandkids watching movies and eating popcorn. She loved making her famous Christmas cutout cookies for the family to enjoy. She loved to sing praises to the Lord. She was blessed to spend the winters in their Cape Coral home with her husband and family. Most of the summer was spent at their cabin on Whitefish Lake, trying to reel in a big one.

Joyce Loved to sing praises to the Lord. She will be greatly missed.

A service celebrating Joyce's life will take place at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake, on Thursday, June 18th at 11a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10am.
