Age 71 of Mpls. passed away peacefully at home on November 28, 2005. Preceded in death by husband, Harold, parents, Sabas & Maria Camarillo and siblings, Lucy Camarillo, Theodore Camarillo, Elvira Vallejo and Antonio Camarillo. Survived by children, Maria Ockenfels (Jerry), Michael Martinez, Ann Baker (Joe) and Joseph Christensen; daughter-in-law, Kim Martinez; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Sabas Camarillo; sisters, Maria de Jesus Munoz, Eva Camarillo and Socorro Savala; hundreds of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Lucy Camarillo; in-laws, Don, Ethel, Virgil and Mildred Christensen; comadres, Lupe Ramirez-Garcia & Nacha SanRoman; special caregiver, Peggy Toe and her family at Holy Rosary. Her family were one of the 1st Mexican Immigrants to Mpls. A lifelong advocate for the aged & served on numerous Government Boards. She was also an advocate for Latino immigrants and opened her home & kitchen to everyone. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Ave. So. and one hour prior to Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Rosary.
