Judith Erpelding

Judith (Laegeler) Erpelding, 78, passed away with her family by her side on June 28, 2025 after a battle with cancer. Judith was born in Minneapolis in 1947 to Frank and Opal Laegeler.

She is survived by the love of her life, Kenneth; daughters, Lisa Erpelding of Fridley, Sara (Dan) Holmdahl of North Oaks, and Rita (Greg) Trapp of Blaine; and grandsons, Isaac, Evan, and Alex.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Judy worked as a nurse at St. Barnabus Hospital before focusing on raising her family. Judy's passions included bridge, handwork, handbells, puzzles, and most of all, spending time and playing games with her family.

A celebration of her life will be on Sunday, July 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the second floor community room at Bel Rae Senior Living, 2330 Mounds View Boulevard, Mounds View, MN 55112.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Open Arms of Minnesota, which supported Judy and Ken with meals, or one of your favorite charities.
