Judith "Judy" Ann Mitchell

Age 78 of Lakeland, MN passed away on Monday, September 21st, 2026.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruby Henning.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Al; children William, Paula, Nicholas (Amber); grandchildren Mitchell (Leah), Bradley, Allison, Cameron, Cole, Jordan; great-grandchild Wilhelm; siblings Steve, Nancy (Karl), Patricia; niece Kelsey; and many beloved friends and family.

Judy was born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota and graduated from Stillwater High School. She married the love of her life, Al, in 1969, and raised their children in Lakeland.

Judy was a warm and welcoming woman who always had a kind word and a comforting hug for those around her. She loved being a mother and spoiled her grandchildren any chance she got. Judy's faith was incredibly important to her, leading with love in all that she did at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, skilled baker, and loved watching old, classic movies.

Judy followed her parents' devotion in the VFW, Lake Elmo chapter, finding her passion in serving many roles in the Auxiliary, and rising to the rank of Auxiliary State President in 2005.

She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

A visitation will take place at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, on Monday, September 28th from 4pm - 7pm. A Funeral Service at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 609 5th St S, Stillwater will begin at 2p.m. on Tuesday, September 29th with a visitation an hour prior.

Memorial donations may be made in Judy's name to The Veteran's Campground at Big Marine Lake.
