Judy was born in Osceola, WI, where she grew up on her family farm. She always was willing to share stories of being a farm kid with others. Most notably, her grandkids were very impressed to learn that she could ride a horse without a saddle! They also were surprised she played basketball.
After she had graduated from Osceola high school in 1962, Judy met the love of her life through her brother Glenn. Ron and Judy were married in 1964. She was a loving and proud mom of her two children, Donna and Deni. Judy taught her daughters and grandkids the importance of family. Judy worked for the City of Maplewood as a secretary of public works where she had all the answers to everything. The kids said grandma is a human google.
She blessed her family with many traditions, such as family meals, vacations, and finding the pickle ornament on the Christmas tree. Her favorite tradition was going to vacation at Park Rapids.
Judy was a wonderful cook, and her family especially loved her Rouladen. Her other hobbies included playing cards in the porch with her husband, spending time with her family, and working hard in her flower garden.
Unfortunately, Judy went too fast. Even at the end, Judy was always making sure that those she cared for were taking care of themselves. Through this whole process, Judy continued to show courage, strength, and class. Her legacy will live on in those that she loved.
As Judy would often say, “Anyways…” (ask the family if you want to know what this means)
