Justin Tkachuck

December 24, 1981 — April 22, 2025

The world lost a beloved father, son, brother and friend, Justin David Tkachuck, on April 22, 2025. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sui and David Yep, and Delores Tkachuck.

He will be sadly missed by children, Travis, Maria, Caleb and David; parents, Joy and Brad Tkachuck; siblings, Stephanie (John) Burgess, and Madison Tkachuck; aunts and uncles, Whitney (Sandy), Glen, Rochelle (Monte) and Doug (Sue); and many other beloved family and friends. Justin was a graduate of Hill Murray High School and the University of St. Thomas. He spent most of his career in Information Technology at Allina Health Systems.

If you got the privilege to meet Justin, you felt his warm, welcoming presence. He was hardworking and dedicated in every facet of his life. He was a loving single father to his 4 children and devoted his life to them, whether it was coaching David and Caleb’s basketball & flag football teams, or watching Maria’s gymnastics meets. Justin always prioritized family time and experiences, from something as simple as getting pho with Maria to an adventurous road trip through the Grand Tetons. Beyond his kids, Justin was a family man through and through. He never missed a family gathering, holiday, celebration, camping trip or time at the cabin. Justin's quiet readiness to help, no questions asked, nothing expected in return, was consistent and dependable. He was truly the rock of the family.

Justin never shied away from a challenge. He was an avid runner and biker, completing Grandmas marathon, multiple obstacle races, the MS150 and enjoyed long bike rides on weekends. He also took pride in landscaping his yard and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was also a diehard Minnesota sports fan and one of his favorite things to do was taking all the kids to Twins, Timberwolves, and Saints games.

He had a way of bringing positivity and light wherever he went, adding joy and laughter to every conversation. He was talented and cared about those around him. He always stepped up to take care of others, whether it was a family member, a friend, a co-worker or even a stranger. His patience, kindness, generosity and spirit touched so many and his impact on the lives of those around him was truly remarkable. He is deeply loved and will be missed but his memory will continue to live on in all who had the privilege to know him.

A service celebrating Justin's life will take place at Arlington Hills Lutheran Church, 1115 Greenbrier Street, Saint Paul, on May 9th at 11 am with a visitation beginning at 9 am. A luncheon will follow the service at Vadnais Heights Commons.
