Parkos, Karen Joy

Died on May 28, 2020, age 73. Born and raised in Morristown, MN. Graduate of Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis; attended the U of M and graduated from Abbott School of Nursing in 1971. Worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital and as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at Minneapolis Veterans Medical Center. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Violet (nee Melstrom) Parkos; sister, Lorraine Lundeen; brothers, Ramon, Marlyn, and Richard Parkos; nieces, Valerie Jo Wood and Sharon Wood; nephews, David Olson and Gary Parkos. Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews; great-grandnieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Burial Lakewood Cemetery.
