Katherine "Kay" Ann Anderson Service - Livestream

Age 96 of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. Preceded by her beloved husband of 72 years, James (Jim) on January 29, 2025, she is survived by 7 children, 19 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

She had a long and inquisitive life including completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Minnesota in 1951. Kay and Jim traveled worldwide into their eighth decade and enjoyed summer vacations with extended family in the Hayward, WI area for many years. Kay was a lover of animals, nature, children and babies, and books. She was lucky to live for several years just steps away from the Marine Community Library and enjoyed participating in book clubs.

Kay was a lifelong member of AAUW and was the editor of the St Paul branch newsletter in her earlier years. She also was a long-time volunteer at Warner Nature Center pursuing her appreciation of nature and children’s education. She was known for her kindness to all regardless of their circumstances.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Stillwater MN on Thursday January 8, 2026, at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marine Community Library, Marine on St. Croix, MN. 

She will be greatly missed by all.
