Kathleen Sue Gossman

On Sunday, December 11, Kathleen Sue Gossman, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away at the age of 79 with her family by her side.

Preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Oneta Freeman (Stephenson), and by her younger sister, Carol Bruce.

Survived by her loving husband of 58+ years, George; sons, Mark (Stephanie), Stephen (Jessica), Jonathan; daughter, Sarah (Bob); grandchildren, Lauren, Evan (Hannah), Joseph, Hannah, Anthony, William, Grace, Summer, Piper and Harper; brother, Larry Freeman (Susan) and sister, Barbara Jo May.

Born on August 8, 1943 in Bloomington, Indiana she met George at Indiana University while he swooned her with frothy lemonades as a server at a local hangout. In 1983, Minnesota became home for the remainder of her life where she actively became involved in the community with the Children’s Hospital Guild, Girl Scouts, YMCA, Young Life and selflessly dedicating her life to her children and grandchildren. As an empty nester, she traveled the world with George and dear friends along with snow birding in Naples, FL. Lunch with the ladies, Bible study, quilting, sewing, bunco, shopping and music were some of her favorite pastimes.

Kathy embodied patience, faithfulness and kindness and had a special way about her that touched so many lives. She radiated love and joy to all those she encountered and her presence will be greatly missed by all.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 20, 2023 from 12:00-3:00 P.M. with a time of sharing at 1:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater.
