Kathleen Marie (Dolan) Mackdanz

Kathleen Marie (Dolan) Mackdanz, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 5, 2024, at the age of 82.

Kathleen was born to John and Aryles Dolan, who preceded her in death, along with her sister Arloine Johnson and her husband Carl Mackdanz. She was a devoted family woman whose life was defined by her unconditional love and unwavering support for those she cherished.

Kathleen graduated with the Class of 1960 from Roosevelt High School, setting the foundation for a life marked by dedication and hard work. She embarked on a remarkable career at AAA, where she worked diligently for 59 1/2 years, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients.

Deeply committed to her community, Kathleen served on the Minneapolis school board, where she worked tirelessly to improve education for all students. She was also a trailblazer at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, becoming the first woman to serve on the church board, where her leadership and vision left a lasting impact.

Kathleen is survived by her loving daughters, Susan (Brian) Albers and Molly Mackdanz. She was a proud and doting grandmother to Merrick, Matthew, and Olivia, and a great-grandmother to little Azaria, who brought her immense joy in her later years.

Known for her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit, Kathleen touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, 4101 37th Ave S, on Friday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the M.C.L.C foundation.

Kathleen will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
