Petersen, Lance W.
Age 52 of Oakdale, MN passed away unexpectedly November 23, 2014. Loving father, husband, and grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren, Lance was generous with his time and his talents. His talent for building was a gift he shared with many and the foundation for the family he loved. He was quick to help anyone in need and one of the hardest working people most have ever known.
Lance is preceded in death by father, Paul Douglas Petersen. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Provo - Petersen, mother, Joanne Elizabeth (Demski) Thompson, sons Beau Petersen (Natalie), and Drew Petersen, grandchildren Jasmine, Ashton and Aurora Petersen and Trinity and Ariel Petersen, brothers David Petersen, Gordon Petersen (LuAnn), Claude Petersen (Kathleen), and Jenny Petersen along with many beloved brothers and sisters - in - law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lance loved spending time at the cabin in Wisconsin with family, being in the woods, hunting with his sons, playing paintball with the paintball team (Team Warfare), and the Minnesota Wild. He also enjoyed traveling especially to enjoy some sun during the long Minnesota winters. He was loyal to the core and took care of those around him in any way he could. He enjoyed his grandchildren immensely and was lucky to have spent so much time with them. He will be greatly missed by many who are richer for having known and loved him.
A celebration of Lance's life will be held Saturday November 29, 2014 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Highway 36 and County Road 5), Stillwater. Visitation will begin at 10 AM with a service at 12 noon and lunch to follow. Memorials preferred to: "The Lance Petersen Grandchildren's Fund" at BMO Harris, Lake Elmo, MN or Ducks unlimited at Ducks.Org.
