LaRoy "Roy" Patrick Sampson

Age 71 of Stillwater, MN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 13th, 2026. 

Roy enjoyed the simple things in life: football, the MN Vikings, Star Trek, and a good movie with a cold Diet Coke in hand. In his earlier years, he was a skilled handyman who took pride in tinkering and fixing things himself. 

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Webb and Ruth; brother, James; and brother-in-law, Jim. He is survived by his cherished friend of 23 years, Jenny; children, Jessica and Sean (Rose); grandchildren, Porter, Rhett, and Mera; sisters, Dee Boulger, Laura Ruth Smith, Mary Carlson-Higgins, and Catherine McNeill; brother, Clifford; sister-in-law Muriel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
