Larry Scott Therrien

Larry Scott Therrien of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota passed away on November 12, 2025. Larry was born in Mason City, Iowa to Margaret and Edward Therrien in 1947. He had reached the young age of seventy-eight years. Larry was born with cerebral palsy but didn't let the physical infirmities, like walking with crutches, interfere with his enjoyment of life. He attended Lindsey School and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1967.

Brought up to be independent, Larry began work at Goodwill Industries in 1979 and was named "Employee of the Year in 1985". He moved to Midwest Special Services in 1990, working there for twenty years before finishing his working years at Merrick, Inc. in 2010. He attended PAI after completing his work career.

Larry grew up in the Macalester-Groveland, and Highland neighborhoods. In later years he lived at Rose Pointe Apartments and took pride in his life as a self-reliant bachelor. His pride and joy was a three wheeled bicycle that allowed him to move widely around the Mac-Groveland, Highland and Roseville areas, attending local sporting events, and meeting people.

Larry was a happy guy and always greeted people with a smile and a hello. He loved music and sports and enjoyed attending University of Minnesota basketball games.

Larry moved to English House run by Phoenix Residence Inc in 2018.

He enjoyed life and excellent care at English House with five other residents. Larry Therrien is survived by his sister Jennette Wasmund, of Roseville, Minnesota; his brother, Edward "Ned" Therrien and his wife, Jean of Gilford, New Hampshire; his nephew Pierce Wasmund of Apple Valley, MN; niece, Kenna Therrien of Swampscott, MA; two grand nephews; and two grand nieces. Larry was predeceased by his parents and nephew, Brandt Wasmund.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN. A family led service will begin at 1:00 PM.
