Laverne Agnes Downs

Laverne Downs age 103 of Lake Elmo, passed on July 1, 2026.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Francis; parents, Fred and Lydia Richert; siblings, Elmer (Dorthy) Richert, Wilbur (Lavonne) Richert; and son in-law, Jake Stephens.Survived by daughter, Roberta Stephens; son, Jeff (Marilyn) Downs; grandchildren, Ryan Downs, Nicole (Chris) Hofstad, Ashley (Mike) Thompson, Micki Lynn Shingary; 9 Great Grandchildren, Hailee, Harper and Asher Hofstad, Cooper Thompson, Joseph, Jacob, Juliana, Jenna, and Jayden Stephens; and 3 Great Great Grandchildren Josiah, Jream, and Za'Kari

Laverne worked at First National Bank, as a Key Punch Supervisor. Started working at Andersen Windows as Key Punch and Payroll Supervisor.

After retiring from Andersen Windows, she enjoyed traveling with Francis through out the US and Canada. She loved watching all her Grandchildren grow.

Funeral service will be July 16th, visitation 10, funeral 11. At St. Johns Lutheran Church with interment at St. Johns cemetery. Luncheon to follow.
