Lindsey Anne Witthaus was a beloved partner, friend, precious daughter, sister and Auntie who passed away on August 16th at age 43. She fought a long hard 3-year battle with breast cancer. She passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.
Lindsey was born on the 4th of July 1982 and truly lived up to her birthdate. She was a vibrant firecracker, bursting with contagious energy and zest for life. She faced every day with incredible strength, living life to the fullest. Lindsey's creativity and unique style shone brightly, her heart a radiant beacon of joy for all. Her spirit illuminated every life, a radiant gift everyone treasured.
Lindsey's commitment to family was unwavering. She cherished her family, friends, and longtime partner Jake. She devoted her free time to her nieces and nephews, crafting lasting memories through adventures and projects. Lindsey was known as Auntie ZZ, always bringing joy with her presence. She was the bedrock of our family and a favorite among all who knew her.
Lindsey and her soulmate, Jake, shared an unbreakable bond. She was considered "Bonus Mom" to Jake's family, Presley, Tyson, and Will. Lindsey was so talented and creative all of her life. She touched lives with her warmth and effortless charm. Lindsey graduated from White Bear Lake High School and the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. In recent years, Lindsey found her calling working with children with special needs, inspired by the profound bond she shared with her nephew, Maximilian. She adored caring for one of her favorites, Parker, and became an honorary part of their family. Lindsey cherished every moment she spent with Max and Parker.
Lindsey's painting and artistry flourished over the last several years; her coveted works showcased her rare talent. This passion once burned bright; she won awards for her poetry and drawings in her youth, but later turned her focus to the sciences. Her creativity and warmth touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her personality, genius and beauty were exquisitely unique, a rare and delicate combination. She will be deeply missed, her love eternal.
Lindsey is preceded in death by her grandparents George and Jean Schossow, Melvyn and Donna Witthaus; uncle, Mark Schossow.
She is survived by her loving partner, Jacob Schulte, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota; father and mother, Marc and Dawn Witthaus, Annapolis, Maryland; Sister, Nicole Scott, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; brother, Michael (Lauren), Annapolis, Maryland; nephew, Andre Scott, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; niece, Grace Scott, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; nephew, Maximilian Witthaus, Annapolis, Maryland; bonus children Presley, Tyson and Will Degracia, North Oaks, Minnesota.
A celebration of life will be held on September 27th 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN. Beginning with a visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and remembrance sharing beginning at 12:00 PM.
