Lora Jones

Lora Annette Jones,

Age 70 of Minneapolis.

Passed away on October 11, 2025.

Lora graduated from Carleton College in 1978 and earned her Master's Degree from Metro State University in 2002. She was a dedicated advocate for civil rights, animal rights, and the preservation of our environment. Lora volunteered for many organizations, worked as an electoral judge, and fostered numerous rescue dogs. An avid reader, Lora was known for her brilliance, kindness, and her steadfast friendship to many.

Lora was preceded in death by her husband John Donaghue; parents Paul and Helen Jones.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara; niece, Rohanna; great-niece Diem; and many dear cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakewood Cemetery on May 1, 2026. Visitation at 1 pm, Service at 2 pm, followed by Interment. A reception will follow and details will be posted here once finalized.
