Age 87, of Houlton, WI
Passed away suddenly on April 29, 2016 after a sudden stroke. She was born on December 14, 1928 in Stillwater, MN. Lorna was one of two children (twin girls). Preceded in death by her parent's Walter and Frieda Kriesel and her husband Robert Montagne. Survivors include her son John (Stephanie, Ashley, Justin) Montagne, twin sister Norma Singer, niece Lisa (Greg, Ali, Lauren) Hanson, Michael (Debbie) Montagne, Mira (Wally) Onnen, Marsha (Fred) Barnett and Mary (Jim) Kavorma. Lorna lived a fun and fulfilling life. She grew up on the family farm with her twin sister Norma. Going off to College at UWRF and becoming a kindergarten teacher for 25 years. She loved animals and has given homes to several dogs, cats, sheep, birds and wild life. She also, loved camping in the Winnebago with her family while traveling the country. Lorna loved people and volunteering. She donated her time to Lakeview Hospital, The Phipps Center, Greeley Health Care, The Teddy Bear Club, Cloverbuds 4-H group and the First Presbyterian Church. Lorna and Norma were honored for being St. Croix County 2007 Outstanding Older Adults for all of their volunteer work. Service Thursday May 5, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 6201 Osgood Avenue, Stillwater. Luncheon to follow. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an animal rescue of your choice or to the First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater, MN.
