July 10, 1958 - October 2, 2026
Louis Patrick "Lou" Danna, age 68, of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on October 2, 2026. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Lou loved his family deeply and was a friend to so many. Lou was born on July 10, 1958, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Jean and Louis Danna. He grew up on St. Paul's East Side and graduated from Harding High School in 1977. He was a Golden Gloves boxer and spent his professional life working as a General Agent and financial planner.
Lou met his wife, LeeAnn, in high school. They married in 1982 and were blessed with two children, Jenna and Tony. Lou enjoyed golfing, traveling, having coffee with friends, smoking cigars, and watching sports. Above all, he loved being a grandfather and never missed an opportunity to brag about his grandson, Louie.
Lou will be deeply missed by his wife of 44 years, LeeAnn; children, Jenna Danna and Tony Danna; grandson, Louis "Louie" Junker; James Rodriguez, a special young man who held a cherished place in Lou's heart; sisters, Patty Danna (Alex Uhler) and Debora Boyd (Patrick); brothers, Sam Danna (Cherie) and Mike Danna; in-laws, Carolyn and Al Leopold, Mike and Shelly Tyler, and Bob and JoAnne Tyler; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean (Hepburn) and Louis Danna, and his sister-in-law, Sheila Danna.
A service honoring Lou's life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church in Woodbury, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of life will follow at Indian Hills Golf Club in Stillwater from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with family and friends welcome to gather in an open-house setting.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations in Lou's honor to the Glioblastoma Foundation, a local charity of your choice, or Guardian Angels Church, where Lou faithfully attended Mass every Sunday.
