Lynn Patricia Klaassen

Lynn Patricia Klaassen, age 73, of Oak Park Heights, MN passed away peacefully Sunday October 19, 2025 at her long-time residence of Boutwell's Landing. Lynn was born April 13, 1952 in Stillwater, MN.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marilyn Klaassen. She is survived by brother, Scott Klaassen (Patricia); nephew, Benjamin (Wynne); great nephews, Teddy, Charlie and Archie and niece, Laura (Kenneth).

Lynn was born and raised in Stillwater, MN where she had many lifelong friends. She graduated from Stillwater Senior High School in 1970. Lynn went on to attend Mankato State University earning a bachelor's degree. She worked in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster and lived in the Chicago area from the mid 1980's to the late 1990's. Lynn enjoyed cooking, sewing and especially socializing with family and friends.

In the late 1990s Lynn experienced the onset of multiple sclerosis (MS) which had an extreme effect on her life. Lynn moved back to Minnesota and was one of the first residents in 2002 to move into Boutwell's Landing where she lived until her passing.

Despite Lynn's challenges she was a fighter and could be very stubborn when she needed to be. She was a "fixture" at Boutwell and was often out and about in the facility hallways cruising in her wheelchair ready with a greeting to everyone she encountered. Lynn especially enjoyed seeing the long time Stillwater family friends who later in their lives resided at Boutwell.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lynn's caregivers and the Boutwell staff whose dedication was a great blessing.

A celebration of Lynn's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday November 7, 2025 in the Boutwell's Landing Chapel, 5600 Norwich Pkwy, Oak Park Heights, MN 55082

Memorial contributions to Boutwell's Landing or Lakeview Hospital Hospice are preferred.
