Age 73, of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Born March 16, 1953, in Stillwater, Minnesota, Macle lived a life centered on faith, family, and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Robetor; her father, Joseph L. Merten; and her niece, Christina DeVine.
Macle is survived by her mother, Louella M. (Arcand) Merten; her siblings, Joseph E. Merten (Janice), Mary (Joseph D.) DeVine, and Margaret (DeEon M.) Phillippi; nephews Daniel Merten (Sara) and Andrew Merten (Angelica); nieces Ashley DeVine (partner, Ryan Cummings) and Patricia Phillippi (fiancé, Brandon Routhe); great-nephew Mathew Merten; and great-niece Addie Merten.
A devoted Catholic and member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Bayport, Minnesota, Macle was previously a member of the 55 Club. Her family and friends were her greatest joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She had a special love for children and animals, who seemed naturally drawn to her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Lyngblomsten Care Center and to Hospice Care by HealthPartners. Their compassion and loving care enriched Macle’s final days following her battle in life with cancer, diabetes, and infection.
A funeral service will be held for Macle on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 16770 13th St. S., Lake Saint Croix Beach, MN 55043-9756, near Lakeland, MN. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the Mass.
Interment will take place at a later date with immediate family at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
