nee Youngquist
Our sweet wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma went to be with her Lord on June 24, 2016. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jack. Peggy adored her family: Patti Houston (Jim Ellingson) and Lori Houston. She was a most amazing grandma to her "little angels": Amy Law (Matthew), Abby Zylla (Norman Dupre IV), Jackie, Robbie and Charlie "Charlie-boy" Ellingson, and great grandma to her special blessing Landon Law. Peggy also had many well-loved relatives and friends.

Peggy was born on New Year's Eve, 1928, on the Boot Lake Farm in Marine to Ralph and Florence Youngquist. Seventy years ago, she met Jack Houston while working at the Marine General Store. They have shared 65 happy years together in their home near the St. Croix Boom Site.

After graduating from Stillwater High School in 1946, Peggy worked for the Northwest Finance Company in downtown Stillwater and then as a Health Aide at the Stillwater Jr. High for the Stillwater School District. She found great joy in attending all of her grandchildren's events. Peggy's specialty was baking and making someone's day brighter. Together, Peggy and Jack volunteered countless hours in our community and at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Our sincere gratitude to the special caregivers at Lakeview Hospice and the Gathering at Boutwells Landing and to Dr. Charles Boback for his kind care. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held July 6, 2016, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5), Stillwater with visitation from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., a service at 5:30 p.m. and a picnic reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice or Meals From the Heart by Mano Amiga.

We will always love you and cherish our sweet memories forever. "Love you to the moon and back."
