Maria Hartwich

Maria Magdalena Hartwich (Cedillo DeLeon)

Age 41 of St. Paul, was taken from us far too soon on May 4, 2024.

Maria was born in Jantetleco, Morelos, Mexico to her parents, Filogonio and Leonarda. She emigrated to the United States when she was just 15, and soon after, met Nicholas Hartwich, who would become her husband in 2001.

Together, Maria and Nicholas raised their children, Victoria, Ashley, Kimberly, Nicholas, and Jayden, who will miss their mom dearly. She is also survived by her siblings, Graciela (Martin), Alejandro (Castula), Rufino (Eugenia), Olivia, Olga (Jose), and Gloria (Jacinto); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Filogonio; brothers, Mariano, Mario.

Maria is tragically succeeded in death by her mother, Leonarda, who unexpectedly passed away in Mexico on the morning of May 7, 2024.

Maria was a hard worker and dedicated mother. Though she loved all babies, her favorite babies were her own children. Whenever she could, she stayed home to raise them. She loved a bargain, and was always shopping for her kids. She was an excellent dancer and even won a contest. Her skills in the kitchen were unmatched. She wasn't afraid to try new recipes, and they always turned out perfectly.

Funeral services for Maria will be held Thursday, May 9 at 11:00 AM at Bradshaw (1078 Rice Street), with visitation one hour prior.

Interment at Calvary.
