Marian Vanmeerten

Marian "Sis" VanMeerten, age 89 of Bayport, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2016. Preceded in death by husband of more than 50 years, Clarence "Papa"; son, Steven; brothers, Roger Paul and David Burmaster. Survived by son, D. Scott (Cindy); daughter, Christine; several grand- and great-grandchildren and many friends. Sis loved to receive visitors, and will be remembered for her ability to keep track of all of Bayport via the telephone. Special thanks to Project Caring and Lakeview Hospice for their excellent care, and to all the friends and family that kept the Hot Line ringing. Graveside service will be 10am Wednesday, May 4, at HAZELWOOD CEMETERY, 5th Avenue North, Bayport. Memorials to Lakeview Hospice preferred.
