Marie Zech

Marie Catherine (Welsch) Zech passed away at the age of 104 on May 16, 2022. She was a dedicated wife and hardworking mother. Playing the piano was a lifelong talent. Even into her final days, she enjoyed playing for others at Holy Family Residence.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward; daughter, Jane Anderson; grandson, Tom Zech; and 8 siblings.

Marie is survived by daughter, Sharon (Jim) Dueber; sons, Chuck (Ann) Zech, Rick (Judi) Zech, Ed (Patricia) Zech; sister, Ruth Weyandt; son-in-law, Bruce Anderson; sister-in-law Tillie Hermanson; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at CHURCH OF ST. BERNARD, 187 W Geranium, with visitation one hour prior.

Memorials preferred to Little Sisters of the Poor.
