Marilyn Lohberger

Marilyn Rae Lohberger passed from this life on January 21, 2024, in the presence of her family at the age of 70 years old. She was born and raised on her family farm in Sibley, Iowa. After graduating from high school, she went on to technical school in Sheldon, Iowa, where she met Ken Lohberger. They were later married in 1974. In 1977, Ken and Marilyn were blessed with their son, Lance, who was born in Bloomington, Minnesota. She spent most of her years as a homemaker taking care of her family. Marilyn was a lover of dogs. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and doing needle point for many years. She was a collector of many things; clocks, dolls, hat pins, and more. She enjoyed going antiquing with Lance and others discovering new treasures. Being the baby in the family, she had a special relationship with each one of her siblings at different times throughout her life. Her brother, David, was a constant in her life, and she would call him almost every day. She liked taking trips to the North Shore, especially Grand Marais and going on adventurous vacations with Ken and Lance. Marilyn was a strong woman who would beat all the odds and always keep everyone guessing.  

    Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth John Lohberger; father Lowell Frank Reiners, mother Bernice Mae Reiners. She is survived by her son, Lance (Jamie) Lohberger; siblings, David (Carol Pomerenke) Reiners, Larry (Kris) Reiners, and Janet (Steve) Appel; and friends. 

       Marilyn’s Celebration of Life will be held at 5p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd W, Stillwater, MN 55082. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. 

       Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church, 708 8th St. Sibley, IA 51249. Lunch will be provided following the service along with a short burial service. 

        Memorials to the family is preferred.
