Marilyn Eleanor (Goodwin) Watson was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marilyn was born on 22 March 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas.She died on Monday, October 27, 2025 at her home in Arden Hills. She graduated from Wyandotte High School. She worked for a short time as a Medical Librarian at St. Margaret's Hospital. This is where she met her future Father-in-Law, Eddie Nickel. Eddie arranged for her to go on a blind date with his step-son, John Watson. Marilyn was married to John for 58 years, and they enjoyed many memorable adventures together. John worked for Deluxe for 37 years, and his job there brought her to live in several different places, including New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Chicago, Kansas City, England, and eventually Minnesota. She was known for her amazing cooking, hosting parties at her home, and was a voracious reader. She is survived by daughter, Vicki Groschel (Ron); son, Michael (Miyuki); 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and by her son, Kent Watson (Debbie Rystedt). On Sunday, November 16th there will be a Visitation at 3 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 4 PM in the Bradshaw White Bear Lake Chapel, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear Lake, MN 55127. The family of Marilyn Watson suggests two ways to provide gifts for his memory:
