Mark Nathaniel Grefsrud (Nathan)

Died in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, February 3, 2026

Nathan lived by his Christian faith.  He was a life-long learner who enjoyed reading, writing, traveling, art, music, nature, culinary arts, scrabble, time with family and friends and his dogs.  He attended Augsburg College and Brown Institute, receiving an AA degree.

Nathan was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Rollyn Gustafson, sister Lorinda Joy Grefsrud, brother-in-law Larry Maxwell, parents Earl Grefsrud and Priscilla Sorknes Grefsrud. He is survived by his life partner Sue Fisher, their beloved dog Saint, sister Pauline Gustafson (Terry Frovik), niece Amanda Schepler (Rich), nephew Erik Gustafson, step-niece Sara Massmann (Johann) and their children, life-long friend Dan Newman (Carol) and a large extended family of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

A service is planned for Saturday, February 21st at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, 4101 37th Ave. S., Minneapolis.  Visitation will begin at 1 pm with a service beginning at 2 pm.
