Marlene Elert

Marlene Elert, age 79 of Shoreview, passed away on May 12, 2017. She is survived by husband of 58 years, Doug; children, Todd (Paula), Tami (Mike) Elert-Voss, Terry, Trisha; grandchildren, Nicholas, Sarah, Joseph, Alex (Tiffany), Taylor, Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kaden, Theo, Harper; siblings, Yvonne (Mike), Dennis, Kathy (Jim), Pam and Jeff. Also, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Marlene was a devoted wife and mother. She especially enjoyed being a grandmother not only to her own grandchildren, but their friends as well. She always had a smile for everyone and her motto was, "the more the merrier." She was an excellent fisherwoman and treasured her time on Bass Lake. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. A celebration of Marlene's life will be at 11AM Thursday, May 18 at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, with visitation one hour prior. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research preferred.
